Dental crowns and bridges are essential solutions for restoring your smile. Crowns are protective caps that cover damaged or weakened teeth, offering strength and improving appearance. Made from high-quality materials, they can closely resemble natural teeth. Bridges, on the other hand, are used to replace missing teeth by anchoring onto adjacent crowns, effectively filling gaps and restoring functionality. Both treatments enhance your dental health and aesthetic appeal, providing a lasting solution to tooth loss and damage. Discover how crowns and bridges can transform your smile!

Dental Crowns

Teeth can become damaged due to cavities, excessive bite forces, or trauma. A dental crown serves as a protective cap that encases the entire tooth, preventing further breakage and restoring its function. Made from advanced porcelain materials, dental crowns can closely resemble natural teeth, ensuring they are both secure and comfortable. Crowns can be created to restore a single tooth, multiple teeth, or used alongside dental implants to fill gaps in your smile.

Bridges

Dental bridges are versatile restorations designed to replace missing teeth and restore your smile's functionality. Composed of one or more artificial teeth (pontics), bridges are anchored to neighboring teeth using crowns, ensuring stability and strength. They not only fill gaps but also help maintain the shape of your face, improve chewing ability, and prevent alignment issues. Customized to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth, dental bridges provide a durable and aesthetic solution for those looking to regain confidence in their smile. Dental Crown Process

Lab Based Crowns

Lab-based crowns: Once your dentist has determined the need for a crown to restore and protect your tooth, the process typically involves two appointments. In the first visit, the affected tooth is carefully prepared, and an impression is taken to capture its details. This impression is sent to a skilled dental lab for custom fabrication. While the lab works on your crown (usually taking 2-3 weeks), you will be fitted with a temporary crown to maintain both function and aesthetics. This initial appointment usually lasts longer, around 1.5 to 2 hours, to allow for tooth preparation, impression taking, and the creation and placement of the temporary crown.

Second Appointment

Your second appointment will be shorter, lasting about an hour. During this visit, your dentist will evaluate the appearance and fit of the crown before permanently bonding or cementing it in place. Any necessary adjustments to your bite will be made, along with a final polish, ensuring you leave with a top-quality restoration.

Same-Day Crowns

With CEREC CAD/CAM technology, you can walk out of the dental office with your permanent crown in place. After careful tooth preparation, detailed digital scans are taken to design and create your new porcelain restoration. This process requires a longer appointment (2-3 hours) to allow for tooth shaping, digital impression, crown design, and porcelain milling, glazing, and crystallization in an on-site ceramic oven. This innovative single-visit crown solution leverages advanced technology, powerful software, and expert training, though it may not be suitable for every tooth.
